This profile provides confidential screening for three of the most common sexually transmitted infections: chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV. It is suitable for anyone who is sexually active and would like a routine sexual health check, has had a change in partner, has concerns following unprotected sex, or simply wants peace of mind. Testing is quick, discreet and carried out by trained clinical staff, using a simple blood sample alongside a swab depending on the infection being screened for.
The profile uses established laboratory techniques, including nucleic acid amplification testing for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, and a combined antibody and antigen assay for HIV, to deliver accurate and reliable results.
Bacterial infections
- Chlamydia trachomatis: one of the most common bacterial STIs, often symptomless, and easily treated once identified.
- Neisseria gonorrhoeae: a bacterial infection that can affect the genital tract, throat or rectum and requires prompt treatment.
Viral screening
- HIV antibody and p24 antigen (HIV Ab + p24 Ag): a combined test that detects both antibodies produced in response to HIV and the p24 viral antigen, allowing earlier detection of infection.

For blood tests, we recommend drinking plenty of water beforehand to ensure smooth sample collection. If you are taking any regular medication, continue to do so unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
